Who needs green beer when you can make yourself the healthiest cocktail ever!

Kathleen’s favorite – Matcha Lemon Drop Martini – shaken, not stirred! No simple syrup, just matcha, fresh squeezed lemon juice, honey water, and your favorite vodka.

Try these recipes for matcha, with a kick!

Matcha Lemon Drop Martini         

Matcha Lemon Drop Martini

 Yield: 1 cocktail

Ingredients:

Matcha Sugar Rim (optional)

1TBSP sugar

¼ tsp. MATCHA

Honey Water

½ cup water

½ cup honey

Matcha-Honey Lemon Drop

¾ oz. Honey Water

¾ oz. Freshly squeezed lemon juice

¼ tsp MATCHA powder

2 oz. Vodka

ice

a twist of lemon peel for garnish

Directions:

Combine sugar and ¼ tsp MATCHA on a small plate.  Circle the rim with a lemon wedge then dip the rim of the glass in the MATCHA Sugar. Simmer water and honey to make honey water – cool.

Sparkling Matcha Mint Cocktail

Yield:  2 servings

Ingredients:

4 oz. hot water

3 tsp. MATCHA powder

3 tsp. honey

8 mint leaves

8 oz. dry Champagne

Garnish:  Lime twists

Directions:

Whisk together first 3 ingredients in a small bowl until MATCHA powder dissolves.  Let cool completely.

Muddle mint leaves in the bottom of a cocktail shaker.  Add MATCHA mixture.  Fill with ice then shake 30 seconds.  Strain into 2 Champagne flutes.  Top evenly with Champagne.  Garnish and enjoy

 Matcha – Gin Cocktail

 Yield :  2 cocktails

Ingredients:

¼  cup mint leaves

¾ cup agave or honey

¾ cup lime juice

1 ½ cup gin

1 tsp. MATCHA

Ice

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint with the  agave and lime juice.  Add the  remaining ingredients and shake well until well-chilled and the MATCHA is dissolved.  Strain through a fine-mesh strainer, dividing between 2 ice-filled rocks

glasses, then serve!

Matcha Margarita

 Yield: 1 Serving

Ingredients:

1 oz. Cointreau

2 oz. Tequila

¾ oz. Fresh Lime Juice

½ tsp. MATCHA powder

Slice of lime

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.

Shake and strain into rocks glass.

Garnish with a lime wheel.  Enjoy!
